This hydraulic stamping unit comprises four core components: stamping jaws, a ball-screw manual slide module, an air tank, and a hydraulic vise. it enables the offline creation of standard serrated impressions on workpieces, eliminating the need to perform the stamping process inside the CNC machine. Once stamped, the workpiece is placed into a self-centering vise where the serrations interlock; this mechanism achieves high clamping force with minimal gripping pressure, thereby reducing workpiece deformation caused by crushing—making it ideal for the batch processing of precision parts.
Four Core Components
1. Serration Jaws
The serrated jaws are mounted on a hydraulic vise, featuring a high-strength serrated profile along their edges. Under hydraulic pressure, they impress a standard serrated pattern onto the edge of the workpiece blank. Subsequently, the marked workpiece is placed in a self-centering vise, where the jaw serrations interlock with the impressions on the workpiece, achieving form-locking clamping.
The profiles of the serrated jaws differ on each side, as they are designed for different vise models:
The serrated jaw on the left is used for H67, H90X, and H105 vises.
The serrated jaw on the right is used for H77, H125, H120, D210, and D250 vises.
2. Ball Screw Manual Sliding Module
Mounted above the hydraulic vise. Built with precision ball‑screw and linear guide. Manual handwheel enables fine‑tune positioning. No matter how raw blanks are placed, operators can accurately shift workpieces to stamping center for consistent serration position.
3. Pressure Air Tank
Energy‑storage & stabilizer for pneumatic‑hydraulic circuit. Stores high‑pressure compressed air, absorbs pressure fluctuation during stamping stroke. Prevents pressure drop at moment of impact, guarantees uniform stamping depth piece‑to‑piece in mass production, protects booster components from fatigue damage.
4. Hydraulic Vise
Main power unit of this stamping system. Delivers repeatable, consistent high stamping force. Rigid body withstand heavy stamping impact. Reliable to pre‑stamp serrations on steel, aluminum and other common blank materials. The core actuator for offline form‑closure pre‑stamping work.
Key Benefits for Batch Machining & Processing Stability
✅ Offline pre‑stamping, save CNC machine time
Stamping operation is done outside machining center. Your CNC machines focus purely on milling, greatly improve machine utilization for mass production.
✅ Form‑closure interlock clamping, less workpiece distortion
Gripping comes from tooth interlock instead of pure friction. Heavy cutting force can be resisted with low clamping pressure. Thin‑walled and easy‑to‑bend parts have much lower risk of clamping deformation, raise production yieldLANG Techn....
✅ Excellent repeatability for mass‑run jobs
Stable air‑tank pressure + consistent hydraulic force + precise manual slide positioning ensure uniform serration depth & position across batches. Less manual alignment work, tighter dimensional consistency for serial parts.
✅ Material saving with minimal clamping margin
Only narrow clamping edge is required for powerful interlocking grip. Workpieces can be machined on nearly five sides, reduce blank stock waste.
✅ Compatible with existing workshop vise
Workpieces subjected to pre-stamping are suitable for most standard self-centering 5-axis vises, such as those from LANG.
Applications: 3‑axis & 5‑axis CNC milling, batch precision parts, mold steel, aluminum alloy, stainless‑steel component machining.
